# Import Project Process

### Overview

The import project is triggered manually when [importing a project ](https://docs.tensorleap.ai/getting-started/quickstart/quickstart-using-gallery)from the gallery

This process:

* Downloads all relevant data for the project
* Indexes it into the Tensorleap Databases
* Populates the platform with all of the relevant dashboard and dashlets

Import project can fail due to the possible reasons:

* No internet connection or instable internet connection. If any import takes >1hr we recommend trying to kill the process and try again with a stable internet connection.
* If the project fails and internet connections seems stable - please contact the Tensorleap team.
